Why Do Some YouTubers Call E2 a Scam ?

That's Easy: They're FUDders, Generating Cash For Themselves

What are FUDders and why do they spread FUD?

FUD is an acronym for "Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt".

It's a manipulative propaganda tactic used to influence perception by spreading negative, false, or dubious information. Think of it as outrage bait or faux fury.

It can be used in many areas, including sales, marketing, public relations, politics and cults. It's a common tactic to manipulate investor and consumer emotions.

FUD can come in the form of rumours, adverse facts, false news stories, or any other piece of information that can be used to someone's advantage.

Many of those that earn their living with the FUD click-bait YouTube videos are making significant amounts of ad money preying on the ignorant using high arousal tactics. They often masquerade their money-making diatribes as care for their community.

We all witness memes on a regular basis that, to most people, are clearly lies. Many take these on face value and embarrass themselves by sharing them, until a friend points out that it's actually incorrect information. Misinformation metastasises through a chain of lazy click-baiting, and eventually the unaware are convinced by what is essentially nonsense.

Amplifying toxic drivel...

We already know how inflammatory and extreme content is more likely to go viral.

Cruel comments often get the most likes and shares, therefore generating greater user engagement, which in turn lead to higher profits. Online crowds are willing to cheer you on as you get more extreme.

You can just imagine some of the content providers sneering and saying to themselves: "Let's make some proper money - let's make this story sound worse, let's make my viewers get angry at others so they'll keep coming back. Let's make them think I'm on their side". You know, just like the traditional media does. Clear black and white opinion headlines, whether valid or not, are far more click-worthy.

Imagine if they were just saying that Earth2 was a great investment?

They would need some serious marketing skills to make money from positive stories. I think we all know in our heart of hearts, that the only way they can make money is through their negativity. They camouflage facts so effectively as to disguise their meaning - it elevates storytelling over evidence and reason.

Kenneth Tynan, one of the English language's most celebrated writers, had these words pinned above his desk. "Rouse tempers, goad and lacerate, raise whirlwinds."
