Why Do Some Believe FUD?

(FUD is an acronym for "Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt". It's a manipulative propaganda tactic used to influence perception by spreading negative, false, or dubious information. Think of it as outrage bait or faux fury.)

FUDders, often called ScamTubers, smuggle their pessimism into people's psyches. Simply scroll through the FUD followers' comments and you'll immediately see the level of blind trust that they invest in the misinformation, distortion of facts and out-of-context narrative that they're being fed.

Yes, there are some facts in the videos denigrating Earth2, but they are disguised in a sea of nonsense.

I'm certainly not tarring all FUD watchers with the same brush (many Earth2 investors watch with a wry smile)), but many don't have the wherewithal to recognise that they are being manipulated. These are often people who lack cognitive reasoning; they do not think things through, but look to others to confirm their beliefs and biases, i.e., easy targets for the FUDders

They are often driven more by ignorance than understanding and are often young, with no real experience of being played. They do not understand slant; they do not understand spin. Almost all of decisions in your life depends on your brain food - if your brain food is the likes of FUD channels on YouTube, think on. Question everything that you are consuming.

Unfortunately, many, let's say less educated folk don't understand the nature of clickbait.

They have no concept of how they are being taken advantage of, and how the money they are pouring into these channels, through their ad-revenue clicks, drives the quality of YouTube content inexorably downwards.

If some folks believe the actions of others fall outside their own expectations of normative behaviour, they call them 'idiots', because they don't understand the reasoning behind those actions.

So, FUD is a common clickbait trick on YouTube designed to stoke resentment and raise income.

Content creators often have no real opinion on something, but they sensationalise that something - that whips up anger in their followers, and there is a type of follower who likes to be angry.

It's often their only way of railing against a world they don't completely understand. Many people actually love these hate filled videos, so consequently they get more likes and followers.

More importantly for the producers, they get paid handsomely for the hate.

Of course Earth2's development has stumbled once or twice; that's inevitable when the founder has such huge ambitions. You show me one other successful company that hasn't. Earth2 deal with each problem as it comes - sometimes slowly for some, but the developers have their priorities.

The progress over the last 3 years in building an exceptionally complex metaverse - a 510,072,000 km2 1:1 scale virtual Earth that is a geological copy of the planet Earth - has been nothing short of incredible.

Sometimes it takes more faith not to believe something you've been browbeaten into believing. Still don't believe me? Then do like the FUD followers should, research the subject properly.
